Minister of Finance in 2009-2013 Veaceslav Negruta has joined the Liberal Reformist Party (PLR), IPN reports.
“The PLR is a party that will become a real civic platform and a roadmap for Moldova’s integration into the European Union. This is the only party headed by a personality who struggled for Moldova’s independence. The other leaders borrowed the image of people of culture, jurists, economics and brothers who do not represent them actually,” Negruta told a news conference.
The former minister added that it’s not right to put the people in the situation to choose between the East and the West. “We should not look at things that are foreign to us and detrimental to Moldova’s development. I refuse to believe that there is place in Parliament for traitors who go to Moscow to provide information about how to hit our Moldovans working in Russia and our businesses and exporters and for those who want to make a karaoke of Moldova’s legislative body,” he stated.
Veaceslav Negruta noted that the PLR is a party with prospects for doctors, teachers, businessmen and civil servants who are now intimidated into voting for particular parties and going to electoral events out of obligation as this is not all democracy.
