Liberal-Democratic lawmaker Veaceslav Ionita said he will vote for the ratification of the Association Agreement with the EU because this accord will strengthen the institutions of Moldova.
“The agreement will first of all provide a clear European prospect to the country. It will also strengthen the democratic institutions and the market economy institutions. I think that the people’s welfare is strictly related to the quality and functioning of the national institutions,” Veaceslav Ionita said within an inquiry held by IPN among lawmakers.
The lawmaker underlined that he is a convinced institutionalist and the EU and the U.S. are the best in this respect, according to him.
A number of 51 votes are needed for the Association Agreement to be ratified.
