Vasile Tralev takes charge of the Moldovan Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs

17 professional unions of economic agents founded the NGO the Moldovan Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, led by former PM Vasile Tarlev. New organization’s goal is to unify the real sector of economy, to elaborate and implement complex programs of economic growth and multilateral development of the social sphere, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Another objective is to build an atmosphere that won’t tolerate state’s pressures on economic agents”, Tarlev stated in a press conference Tuesday, June 29. Besides, the Congress wants to aid the development of cooperation relationships between Moldovan and international companies. Agreements with similar organizations in Ukraine and Russia have already been signed, and Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria as well as other countries are next on the list. The Moldovan Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs is elaborating a strategy of economic growth for Moldova, involving international experts. According to Vasile Tarlev, the areas that have a serious growth potential and represent future investment targets are agriculture, process industry and IT. Tarlev also said there is more freedom in Moldovan society. Since the new government came to power, everybody, including civil society organizations, has the right to free opinion. Tarlev is confident the Congress and the Government will cooperate intensely. The former prime minister mentioned he started a personal business recently, which is specialized in attracting investments and cooperates with international funds. He is also focused on projects of obtaining renewable energy from biomass. Moreover, Tarlev says such a project, valued at 200,000 lei, is already being developed. Asked whether he would return to politics, he said: “We’ll see later”.
