Vasile Bumacov was sacked from the post of ambassador to Japan and, simultaneously, to the Republic of Korea by a Government decision approved on July 31, IPN reports.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Oleg Țulea said the draft decree will be transmitted to President Igor Doodn for signing.

At the suggestion of Minister of the Interior Pavel Voicu, jurist Cornel Lebedinschi, currently a substitute member of the Disciplinary College of Judges of the Supreme Council of Magistracy, was named secretary of state at the Ministry of the Interior.

The Cabinet also decided to dismiss Vitalie Valcov from the post of director of the National Bureau of Statistics as of September 4 in connection with the expiry of his term in office. Oleg Cara, who won the contest to fill this post, was named instead of him for a five-year-term, as of September 7.

Olga Tagadiuc was appointed as director of the National Agency for Research and Development for a four-year term.
