The values of the profit margins on the wholesale of the main oil products and liquefied petroleum gas for the second half of 2021 were modified. This way, for a tone of imported gasoline or diesel fuel, the profit margins will be by 380 lei higher, while for liquefied petroleum gas by 150 lei higher. The Administration Board of the National Agency for Energy Regulation modified the methodology for calculating and applying the prices of oil products, IPN reports.

The Agency noted the decision taken today, July 16, will not influence the retail prices of oil products up as the pump price is determined based on parameters set earlier. The decision was taken as a matter of urgency and is temporary. The law on the oil products market that was recently modified will have to be later reviewed.

Also, the Agency warns about the tendentious conduct of some of the participants in the oil products market the past few weeks and about reasonable suspicions of the existence of a boycott aimed at destabilizing the economic situation in the country. Similar actions can be seen in the behavior of experts who disseminate false information and analyses that seem to have been conducted by order. The institution said such phenomena cannot be tolerated and should be examined by the responsible bodies.
