Valeriu Zubko was a consensus candidate for Prosecutor General, Urecheanu
The chairman of the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) Serafim Urecheanu, in the Fabrika program on Publika TV, said that Valeriu Zubko was a consensus candidate of the Alliance for European Integration (AEI), he being the only candidate of those examined who was accepted unanimously by the 53 MPs of the Alliance, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“A competent and politically unaffiliated person was wanted in the post of Prosecutor General,” Serafim Urecheanu said.
He confirmed that the AEI leaders signed a document on the distribution of posts. He also said that he proposed Vlad Filat for Prime Minister, while the leader of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu suggested Mihai Ghimpu for Head of Parliament.
Urecheanu reiterated that he is in favor of the AEI fielding a common candidate for the presidency. According to him, such a move will show that the Moldovan political class became more mature.
The AMN leader said the disagreements inside the governing alliance are a kind of pre-electoral nips, stressing that the AEI is governed by no one from behind.
As to the political migration from the AMN to other parties, Urecheanu said he is not angry with those who leave, specifying a village councilor is paid 10,000 lei for political tourism.
