By a decision of the government, Valeriu Turea was appointed interim director of the Diaspora Relations Bureau. The appointment occurred after the competition for the position of director did not select a candidate.

„Valeriu Turea is detached from MAEIE. He has held this position before, however, the previous regime dismissed him. We hope that now we will have an apolitical BRD”, said Prime Minister Maia Sandu.

Additionally, the government has approved the appointment of Oleg Nica as honorary consul in Milan, Italy. Eugen Revenco was recalled as ambassador to Latvia. He won the competition for the position of General Secretary of State within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
