Valeriu Triboi was appointed as Deputy Minister of Economy. Earlier, he held the post of director of the Public Property Agency. He is a Bachelor of Law and a mechanic engineer by occupation, IPN reports.

The Cabinet also confirmed Deputy Ministers of Economy Octavia Calmac and Tudor Copaci in their posts.

In the same meeting, there were approved three candidates for the posts of state secretary on behalf of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Health. These are Lilia Palii, Natalia Gavrilita and Nicolae Jelamschi respectively.

The duty of the state secretary is to ensure functional ties between the institution’s administration, the civil servants and the subdivisions of the central apparatus. The secretary also monitors and assesses the carrying out of the ministry’s strategic activities.
