Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet is paying a two-day visit to Madrid, Spain. The official is taking part in the Congress of the European People’s Party (EPP) that is held on October 21-22 and will give a speech there, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
Valeriu Strelet will also take part in the meeting of the extended EPP Summit that will involve heads of state and government of the EPP family. Within the visit, the Moldovan Premier will have a meeting with the EPP President Joseph Daul.
The Congress of the European People’s Party brings together more than 3,000 participants, including 750 delegations, 14 heads of state and government from EU and non-EU countries and heads of European institutions. Among the most important political leaders representing parties of the EPP family who will attend the event are German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Prime Minister of Spain Mariano Rajoy, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and President of the European Council Donald Tusk.
