The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) will insist on being allowed to nominate the candidate for premiership, the party’s acting chairman Valeriu Strelet said in the program “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel, IPN reports.
“The Democratic Party, which controls a number of state institutions, wants the post of Prime Minister so as to better control this state. My dismissal from the post of Premier was initiated by the Democrats, when these realized that they will be unable to control the Government. I then announced drastic measures because we had the freedom to act,” stated Strelet.
According to him, the Premier should be designated according to the election results, not to the interparty migration. “It must be clear that there is continuity. We will struggle for the right given to us by the voters. We have at least two candidates for the post of Premier and are ready to make them public immediately after we reach an agreement. I will not name them now, given the Democratic Party’s unfriendly attitude to us,” said the leader of the PLDM.
In the same program, Valeriu Strelet welcomed the launch of the Political Party “Dignity and Truth”. “It’s good that new faces and forces appear in politics. It is hard work, especially when there is so much confusion in the people’s minds, while the politicians are disoriented,” he stated.
