Russian Deputy Prime Minster Dmitri Rogozin will arrive in Chisinau in the afternoon of September 2. “He comes at my invitation. We earlier agreed that we should have a meeting as co-chairmen of the Moldovan-Russian intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation,” Deputy Prime Minister and Minster of Economy Valeriu Lazar said after the Government’s meeting. He informed he will also pay a visit to Moscow in September, IPN reports.
As to the agenda of the meeting with Rogozin, Valeriu Lazar said there will be discussed the bilateral economic relations, first of all such aspects as trade and the energy agenda, and the competences of the joint commission. “We want to prepare several agreements for signing by the next meeting of the commission, including the agreement on the regime of stay for Moldovans in Russia,” he stated.
According to Valeriu Lazar, a meeting of Dmitri Rogozin and Prime Minister Iurie Leanca hasn’t been planned, but it’s not excluded that the two officials will meet.
On September 3, Rogozin will travel to Tiraspol to take part in a ceremony that will be held to launch the construction of a hospital. Valeriu Lazar reminded that Dmitri Rogozin is also the special representative of Russia in Transnistria and added that such visits are absolutely normal.
