The minister of economics and commerce, Valeriu Lazar, will attend on Thursday, 23 February the meeting of the ministers of economics of states participating in the South-Eastern Europe cooperation Process t (SEECP). According to press services of the Ministry of Economics and Commerce (MEC), minister Valeriu Lazar will participate in discussions of the subjects regarding the strengthening of means of promoting free commerce, harmonising customs procedures according to EU standards, as well as the investment policy of the state. This is according to section’s provisions „Regional cooperation” of the Action Plan RM-EU, stipulating the continuation of Moldova’s cooperation in the activities of the Stability Pact, Central European initiative and South-Eastern Europe Cooperation Process. Participating as SEECP observer, Moldova has as strategic objective to get the status of member, that’s why the participation in all meetings organised by SEECP has a great importance for our country, according to the report. South-Eastern Europe is a region that develops in a very alerting way, offering good possibilities to promote commerce and investments. As forum of political dialogue and consultation, SEECP is an important toll in promoting the interests of participating countries to integrate in European and Euro-Atlantic political, security and economic structures. Cooperation accession at ministerial level will lead to intensify more the economic cooperation in South-Eastern Europe.
