Though the PLDM imposed the condition that Speaker Andrian Candu should be dismissed for taking part in governance, it will not support the PSRM’s initiative on the dismissal of the Head of Parliament, Liberal-Democratic MP Valeriu Giletski said in the program “Place for dialog” on Radio Moldova station, IPN reports.
“The PLDM and PSRM pursue different goals. We want the Speaker to be dismissed so that we are able to rebuild the alliance and invest the Government, while those form the PSRM want to destroy everything. We want a person who will enjoy more confidence to hold the post of Head of Parliament. This is a solution that deserves to be discussed by the current political class. But we will not solve the problem together with the Socialists,” said Giletski.
Within a telephone call during the program, Socialist MP Vladimir Turcan suggested that the PSRM banks on the support of the Lib-Dems. “We prepared a bill to dismiss Candu because this usurps the legislative power. Andian Candu accepts only those initiatives that are suitable for the PDM. The given bill was signed by 24 MPs and ten more signatures are needed for including it in the agenda. The next days we will have discussions with our colleagues from Parliament on the issue. When the necessary 34 signatures are secured, we will submit the bill for this to be included it in the agenda,” he stated.
