Democratic lawmaker Valentina Stratan said she he will vote for the ratification of the Association Agreement with the EU, underlining that Moldova made a lot of effort to bring this moment closer.

Within an inquiry held by IPN among the lawmakers, Valentina Stratan said this is an important step. “The Association Agreement represents a new stage in the rapprochement with the European Union. Joining the EU is the final goal. The accord marshals the reforms for combating corruption and for tending towards a better life with an increased social protection level and with respect for the human rights,” she stated.

Moldova will sign the Association Agreement with the EU on June 27. A number of 51 votes are needed for the accord to be ratified.
