Valentin Guznac: We aim to work out NDS “Moldova 2030” by the start of 2018

The national development strategy (NDS) “Moldova 2030” should be aimed at ensuring the observance of human rights and gender equality and at consolidating the human potential, with emphasis on the improvement of the people’s education level and health indexes, it was noted in a Government officials’ meeting on November 6, where there was presented the report on the implementation of the NDS “Moldova 2020” during 2012-2015, IPN reports.

“The Republic of Moldova will set the priorities that are to be achieved by correlating the reform agenda and the expectations of society. We aim to work out the NDS “Moldova 2030” by the start of 2018, with the involvement of the public authorities and development partners, based on a broad consultation process,” the Government’s deputy secretary general Valentin Guznac stated in the meeting.

According to the State Chancellery, the implementation of the NDS “Moldova 2020” was assessed with the aim of identifying the obtained results and existing shortcomings and of considering the prospects of achieving the final goals. It was ascertained that progress has been made in the pension system sector, where most of the indicators were achieved, and in fighting poverty whose rate decreased from 21.9% to 9.6%, the final objective set for 2020 being already attained.
