The medalists of the Canoe Sprint World Cup held in Hungary also distinguished themselves at the canoe sprint national championship at “Valea Morilor” Park in Chisinau. Daniela Cociu and Maria Olărașu won the 200m and 500m doubles, IPN reports.

Sergei Tarnovschi competed in the doubles together with his brother Oleg Tarnovschi. They won the 500m race. Ilie Sprincean and Ilie Oprea emerged victorious in the 200m doubles.

Among juniors, Mihai Chihai has won four races: 200m and 500m singles and 200m and 500m double, together with Ion Bătrâncea.

Elena Glizan also won four races: 200m and 500m singles and 200m and 500m doubles, together with Iana Borș.

The canoe sprint national championship involved 120 athletes.
