The presidential elections should not be delayed and should take place in June, deputy chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) Vadim Pistrinciuc said in the program “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.

“The current government has a very low rating and wants to gain time. The presidential elections should not be delayed. They could mean the start of the removal of an oligarchic system that concentrated the power in one hand. We will make the necessary approaches, but is it rather improbable that we will be heard. If so, we will become noisier,” stated the Lib-Dem.

Vadim Pistrincuc noted that the PLDM could field its own candidate in the presidential elections, but will most probably form an alliance with other parties so as to support a common candidate. “We will not accept to cooperate and to discuss with all kinds of turncoats, with parties that are anti-Moldova and anti-EU,” he stated.
