The COVID-19 vaccine certificates issued by foreign national health authorities, including of the Republic of Moldova, to persons vaccinated with vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency are recognized in Italy, which is home to the largest number of Moldovan migrants, IPN reports, quoting Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco.
The circular on the recognition of vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 done outside Italy’s borders was issued by the Ministry of Health of Italy on September 23. The period of validity of the vaccine certificates obtained abroad is the same as in the case of the Green Pass issued by the Italian authorities.
The Moldovan citizens who are in Italy for work or study, either they are registered with the Italian National Health Service or not, will have the vaccination done in the Republic of Moldova recognized if vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency were administered to them. The vaccine certificates are accepted on paper and in digital form in Italian, English, French, Spanish or German.
