A COVID-19 vaccination center was opened today, May 19, at the shopping center “Central” of the Central Market of Chisinau. This is situated on the first floor of the building and will work daily between 10am and 6pm, except for the weekend. According to the manager of the Central Market, the vaccination will be managed by Policlinic No. 1, IPN reports.
Vaccines at the center are administered to the Market’s employees and to all those who want, based on the identity card.
Contacted by IPN for details, the Market’s acting director Ion Pîntea said that two types of vaccines are available at the center: AstraZeneca and Sinovac. The persons can choose one of these two types. All those who want can get a vaccine at the center, regardless of the place of residence, if the are citizens of the Republic of Moldova.
The center will work also on the weekend if the demand is high. For now, the center is not very popular, but Ion Pîntea voiced hope that the business entities working at the market and the population will be more active in the afternoon.
