The vacation period for public sector employees will continue after Easter. They will stay at home during April 21-24 as well. Only the healthcare, emergency medical assistance and police employees will be at work. The education system employees will continue distance learning, IPN reports.
After the meeting of the Commission for Exceptional Situations, Prime Minister Ion Chicu said that June 8 will be a nonworking day instead of April 27, which should have been nonworking, but will not be given the Synod of the Moldovan Orthodox Church’s decision to transfer the celebration of the Sunday of the Dead to June 6, 7 and 8.
Premier Chicu called on the citizens to obey the rules set down by the authorities, urging the parishioners to avoid visiting churches on the Resurrection Night.
