USM proposes five master’s programs of Public Administration Academy

In connection with the reorganization by absorption of the Public Administration Academy, the State University of Moldova (USM) as from this year will offer five master’s programs of the absorbed institution, IPN reports.

The rector of the Public Administration Academy Oleg Balan told a news conference that the Academy in May launched the accreditation procedure that is to end on July 29. There are three programs intended for civil servants and public service employees of Moldova, namely: Public Administration; International Relations, and Public Management. Another two programs, Public Law and Anticorruption, are designed exclusively for public service employees.

Admission to the five master’s programs will be conducted in parallel in the blocks of the Academy and at the State University. The
Academy was the only higher education institution in Moldova that provided only master’s programs of study without offering studies for a bachelor’s degree. The process of study will take place at the USM, in the educational buildings of the Public Administration Academy, stated Oleg Balan.

Applications to the contest can be submitted online on eAdmitere platform. The main session of the admission contest will take place during July 25 - August 8.

The Ministry of Education and Research decided that the State University of Moldova will absorb the Public Administration Academy and the State University of Physical Education and Sport. The Agrarian University will be absorbed by the Technical University. The Academy of Economic Studies will absorb the National Institute of Economic Research, while the State Teacher Training University “Ion Creangă” will absorb the Tiraspol State University and the Taraclia State University “Grigorii Țamblac”.
