USM-Bostavan has become a national women’s volleyball champion after winning against Speranta in the final. The team trained by Iulia Mardari scored a 3-1 victory, IPN reports.
The organizers also chose the best players of the championship. USM has three players in Top 5, namely Elizaveta Suslova, Larisa Shelemet and Polina Idjilova, who last year became champion in France. Among the best are also Maria Idjilova and Valeria Tihonova of Speranta.
The men’s team of the State University of Moldova (USM) also has a good performance this season. Last week, it beat the best ranked Dinamo-MAI Chisinau and Dinamo Tiraspol. The current champion Dinamo Tiraspol was defeated at home 1-3. Thus, USM is now only one point behind Dinamo Tiraspol, while Dinamo-MAI ranks third.
