The Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) started a criminal case over the use of violence during the protest mounted near the Parliament Building in the evening of January 20, namely over public disorder, IPN reports, quoting the PGO.

The prosecution group is examining the circumstances of the case and is taking steps to identify the persons who used violence and instigated violence. The organization of and participation in public disorder is punished with up to eight years in jail.

The PGO says the demonstrations, protests, marches or any other kind of meetings are free and can be organized and held only in a peaceful way. The meetings were violence is instigated and public order is violated and the organization of rioting are banned.

The people are urged not to allow provocations and violence, to refrain from nondemocratic actions and not to break the law.
