Those who want to emigrate to the U.S. can enroll into this year’s USA Diversity Visa Green Card Lottery program that provides 50,000 Diversity Visas. The applicants must meet two entry requirements, IPN reports.

To qualify for the USA Diversity Visa Lottery, one must be a foreign citizen or national not born in the United States of America, from a country with a low immigration rate to the United States. The U.S. Department of State choses the winners by a computer draw. The visas are distributed by six geographical regions and no country can get more than 7% of the total number of Diversity Visas a year.

No tax is charged for entering the DV program.

Applications must be submitted to dvlottery.state.gov. Late submissions or paper applications will not be accepted. Each person can register only once in the enrolment period. The applicants with more than one registration are disqualified.
