US$70,000 for distance learning provided through UNICEF

The Global Partnership for Education, through the agency of UNICEF, offers US$70,000 to support distance learning. The money provided by the development partners will go to purchase 80 computers for teachers and students, IPN reports.

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research said the computers will be distributed to the education institutions selected by the local education bodies and by the Ministry. There will also be bought support packages for preschool children and primary school students.

The Ministry of Education, in cooperation with UNICEF Moldova, will stage training courses on how to organize and ensure distance learning in early education institutions in conditions of quarantine, intended for educators.
