The Cabinet approved the signing of an amendment to the Development Objective Assistance Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the United States for increasing trade and investments in key areas, IPN reports.
The document envisions the allocation of an additional sum of US$ 500,000 for increasing transparency and responsibility in financial institutions and strengthening the Government’s and civil society’s capacities for monitoring developments in the financial sector. Thus, the total sum of the grants provided by the U.S. within this accord will amount to US$10.8 million.
The Development Objective Assistance Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the United States contributes to maintaining cooperation relations between the two states, economic growth and larger investments in the most promising industries of the Republic of Moldova.
