The Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Justice received personal protective equipment to the value of US$93,000 from the U.S. Embassy in Moldova, IPN reports.
The equipment includes face masks, protective glasses, gloves, digital thermometers and disinfectant. The U.S. Embassy said the equipment will contribute to ensuring the safety of police officers and officials of the penitentiary system while fulfilling their main duties.
The donation is financed by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State and reflects the long-lasting Moldovan-American partnership in the consolidation of the rule of law in the Republic of Moldova.
