The Embassy of the United States calls upon all of Moldova’s political parties to begin acting on behalf of the people of Moldova by rapidly forming a government and cooperating on immediate reforms, IPN reports.

“Moldova’s image at home and abroad is suffering due to continued machinations by political elites, and in some cases, private individuals.  It is time to put personal interests and animosities aside, as continued unpredictability negatively affects Moldova’s ability to move forward on its European path,” says a press release of the U.S. Embassy.

It also says that the United States is a friend and partner of the Moldovan people, who deserve a government that seeks a democratic and prosperous European future without corruption and without personal enrichment at the expense of the people.
