The United States notes the March 5 Parliamentary vote in Moldova that dismissed the government led by the Alliance for European Integration, and calls upon all leaders in Moldova to forge a path forward that upholds democratic principles and the rule of law, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a statement from the United States Embassy in Chisinau, the U.S. joins the international partners in reinforcing the importance of continued focus on Moldova's ambitious reform agenda and its goal of European integration for the benefit of Moldova, its people, and its future. The Government fell in a no-confidence vote passed in Parliament on March 5. Prime Minister Vlad Filat announced that the Cabinet will tender their resignation on March 8.
