US businessmen are wiling to intensify economic relations with Moldova
The US authorities and businessmen voice their readiness to intensify economic relations with Moldova. The subject of Moldova-American bilateral economic relations was brought up for discussion on January 25 by Ambassador of Moldova to the USA Nicolae Chirtoaca and representatives of the US business circles during a meeting on exploration of possibilities of trade and investments in Moldova.
The US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Trade Paul Dyck mentioned that the signing of the Threshold Programme of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) with Moldova and the eligibility of Moldova for the MCC Compact Programme will give an incentive to the flow of US investments.
At the meeting Chirtoaca gave a description of the primary fields of the national economy, favourable conditions for foreign investors and urged the US business community to increase investments in Moldova.
The meeting has been held at the US Trade Department by the Embassy of Moldova in Washington in cooperation with the US Bureau for Information Service for New Independent States (BISNIS). The event was attended by such companies as GlobalMedArb LLC; Global Marketing Advisors LLC; NIS Trade & Invest LLC; TCG International LLC; Walker Energy; Telecom/Telematique Inc; ARXO Financial Solutions LLC; Omni Communications Inc, Waddell & Red, INC, as well as representatives of the US governmental institutions, analytical centres and diplomats from Washington DC.
