President Nicolae Timofti handed over the Oder of Honor to U.S. Ambassador to Moldova William Henry Moser in gratitude for his special contribution to developing and deepening the relations of friendship and cooperation between the United States and Moldova, IPN reports.

“The U.S. contributed enormously to the process of strengthening the democratic institutions and modernizing Moldova’s infrastructure. The Moldovans understood that the American people is a reliable partner,” said Nicolae Timofti, underlining that the U.S. –American strategic dialogue is a foreign policy priority of Moldova.

For his part, William Henry Moser expressed his satisfaction with the progress made by the Moldovan authorities in the process of modernizing society. “The Unites States of America will continue to support the transfer of experience in support of the peoples that share the values of democracy and freedom,” he stated.

“The U.S. wants Moldova to have the right to choose the future without constraints. A democratic government chosen by free elections, the market economy and the free media represent the guarantee of peace, progress and stability.”

In the meeting, Nicolae Timofti and William Henry Moser discussed joint projects from the bilateral agenda.
