U.S. Ambassador assures Moldova of further support to reintegration efforts
United States Ambassador William Moser has assured Deputy Prime Minister Eugen Carpov that his country will further offer full support to the Moldovan authorities' reintegration efforts.
The Reintegration Bureau said in a press release that the U.S. Ambassador and the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration met to discuss the upcoming 5+2 negotiation round, to be held in Dublin during November 28-30.
At the meeting, the officials took stock of and exchanged opinions on the developments on the Transnistrian settlement process, discussing in particular the progress made in the 5+2 format and the expectations from this year's last round in this setting. Other issues discussed included the direct dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol, the activity of the sectoral workgroups, the role of the United States in the settlement process, and other subjects of common interest .
