US$ 42,000 raised at Winter Charity Bazaar

Five nongovernmental organizations will get grants to implement projects with a positive impact on disfavoured women and children, to the total value of US$42,000. The money was collected at the Winter Charity Bazaar staged by the International Women’s Club of Moldova on December 10, IPN reports.

The funds raised from donations made by participants in the event and proceeds from ticket sales will be directed to the Association of Premature Babies “Vitae”, the Public Association “Copiii Ploii”, the Medical-Sanitary Philanthropic Foundation “Angelus Moldova”, the Regional Association for Adults’ Education “Upper Prut/Prutul de Sus” of Edinet and the Charity Center for Refugees.

Twenty-four embassies and international organizations that are members of the Club alongside craftsmen, NGOs, orphanages, local business entities and beneficiaries of the project exhibited and sold dishes, beverages, works of art, clothes, books and toys at the bazaar.

The US$30,000 collected at the previous edition of the event went to support vulnerable women and children.
