Upon public’s desire, movie “Arrivederci” is projected in Chisinau two days more

The feature film “Arrivederci,” directed by Valeriu Jereghi, rejoiced at success in Chisinau – the first location of a national tour, after the creation team collected applauds in many European capitals. On Sunday, February 15, on the last day of projecting in Chisinau, it was hard to get tickets. Dozens of spectators who remained outside the cinema hall stated their hope that the organizers will resume the projection in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I am sorry I haven’t managed to get tickets. I have heard it is a good movie. Though it is a feature one, it mirrors the reality we live in, the drama of the children who have no care from their parents who had to go abroad for work,” Alina Cantir, one of the persons who hasn’t managed to get a ticket to the movie, said. “I managed to see this movie and I liked it much. Now I have come with my relatives. Unfortunately there are no free places. What a pity. We would even stand,” Nicolae Nita, another spectator, said. “The movie enjoys popularity. Reservations over the telephone have been made in advance. Those who haven’t get a ticket stayed disappointed. Many people call in and ask when the movie will be projected,” manager of cultural center “Odeon,” Lidia Troianowski, stated. “The movie is worth seeing because it deals with the problem that hurts us all: the problem of migration, the problem of those 10 thousand and more children who remained parentless,” Lidia Troianowski added. Asked by Info-Prim Neo, on Monday, February 16, Valeriu Jereghi said that, at the requests of many spectators, the movie would be projected in Chisinau for two days more – on Saturday and Sunday (February 21 and 22), at 16.00 and 18.00, at Odeon. The director was satisfied by the reaction of the public, who, after the film finished, didn’t leave the hall immediately as usually, but applauded and thanked the creation team. The national tour will continue with projections in Soroca, Edinet, Calarasi, Balti, Ungheni, Straseni, Leova, Cahul, Bender and Tiraspol. The movie “Arrivederci” is a production of “Prim-Plan Studio,” accomplished by director and cameraman Valeriu Jereghi and his team: Ana Barduc (the author of the screen play), Galina Lungu (editor), Andrei Mudrea (scenes director) and also an actor, Andrei Baluta (editing), Mihai Danila (film director), Oleg Grinko (deputy director) and Olga Pudnev (photographer). The main roles were performed by the children Ion and Mihaela Babenco. The movie depicts the drama of two children of 5 and 7 years old, who face poverty and loneliness and bring up each other waiting for the day when they will be able to leave for Italy to see their mother. The European tour of the movie started on January 26 with a projection in the European Parliament. Then, there were performances in Paris, Lisbon and Rome, including for the great number of Moldovan people living there. The Chisinau authorities, and the authorities of other states facing similar problems, should expedite the adoption of a special law regarding the legal framework of the abandonment, having protection measures for the minors who are in this situation. This was the recommendation of the European parliamentarians after seeing the movie.
