Up to 100 people can find shelter during the cold season at Center in Haltei Street

Between November 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020, the Center for homeless people will provide housing services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The housing capacity during the cold period of the year will be one hundred people. About 15 - 20 persons with severe disabilities, who require care, permanently reside at the Center.

Tatiana Bucearschi, head of the Department of health and social assistance, said today, at the capital's City Hall meeting, that the Center is fully prepared to house homeless people during the cold season. Bedrooms and living rooms were repaired in order to cope with the large flow of people. The Center was equipped with additional quilts, sheets, towels, hygiene products, underwear, socks, slippers, etc. Over the course of a social campaign, clothes and shoes were collected for the beneficiaries of the Center.

The Department head added that people residing at the Center will get three meals per day and will be provided with hot tea throughout the day.
