Private individuals and companies that have worked for less than a year can import into the Transnistrian region up to 10 kg of meat and meat products without paying import duties, the agency “Novostipmr” reported on its website, quoted by IPN.
According to the agency, the 10 kg on which taxes are not paid can include fresh, refrigerated or frozen meat and finished meat products.
The private individuals cannot import more than 10 kg of frozen meat. In the case of fresh and refrigerated meat, the extra quantity will be taxed.
The same rules apply to companies working for less than a year. Exception is made for organizations involved in foreign trade that are registered with the customs authority.
