The higher education institutions will have the right to independently create laboratories, university clinics, research stations and other institutions under them. Parliament adopted a bill that enables the universities, academies and institutes to found other public institutions, without commercial goals, under their administration, IPN reports.

The bill authors said that according to the recommendations of the EU and the World Health Organization, for the universities to be able to obtain international accreditation, they need to have research and innovation institutions, experimental and teaching centers, while the medical higher education institutions must have a university hospital or university clinics.

The higher education establishments will also be able to set up incubators, creation studios, sports clubs and other public institutions, without pursuing commercial goals. The proposal was accepted by most of the MPs attending.
