The commercial bank Universalbank was deprived of license. The decision to withdraw the license was taken by the Administration Board of the National Bank of Moldova on February 15, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the central bank, the decision was reached after establishing that Universalbank SA was insolvent and committed a series of irregularities. The bank will be subject to forced liquidation, in accordance with the Law on Banking Institutions. Ion Ropot was named as the liquidator of Universalbank.
