The US Vice President’s statements about the Transnistrian conflict, both here and in Moscow, represent a verbal pact between the USA and Russia on this issue. Such a pact allowed the Baltic States to become what they are today and Central Europe to get rid of post-World War II arrangements and of socialist regimes.
