Unionists to march against informal employment

On October 31 unionists will stage a solidarity march under the slogan “Say No to Informal Employment!”. The procession will start from the square of the Moldovan Academy of Sciences and will walk along Stefan cel Mare Blvd towards the Great National Assembly Square.
The announcement was made on Monday at the City Hall's ordinary meeting by municipal police chief Silviu Musuc. According to the application submitted by the marchers to the relevant municipal division, through this event, the unionists aim to raise awareness of the public authorities, employers and employees from all the sectors of Moldovan economy, including the construction sector, on the negative effects of informal employment and the payment of under-the-counter wages.
The march will start at 2:00PM. The organizers said roughly one thousand people will participate.
