Moldova’s union with Romania is the best solution to the crisis faced now by the Republic of Moldova, said party leaders invited to the program “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.
Ana Gutu, who heads the unionist party “The Right”, said Moldova’s union with Romania is the only solution. “Romania made important progress. The union should take place as soon as possible. The longer the union idea is rejected, the harder it will be to implement it,” she stated.
Vasile Costiuc, chairman of the Party “Democracy at Home”, considers the European integration of Moldova can be secured only by the union with Romania. “The EU now has its own problems. No extension is envisioned in the next 10-15 years. Uniting with Romania is the only chance of integrating into the European area,” he said.
Valeriu Cosarciuc, co-chairman of the People’s Party of the Republic of Moldova, also thinks the union with Romania is a solution for the Republic of Moldova, but the current situation is not favorable for this. “I personally consider that the reunion is a solution for the Republic of Moldova. But I don’t think that this can be ensured now. Until this becomes possible, we must solve our problems,” he stated.
