Union Fenosa reacts to accusations
RED Union Fenosa issued a statement, saying that it always and fully observes the legislation and normative documents of Moldova. The statement says that the activity of RED Union Fenosa is completely regulated and the company obeys exactly the rules laid down by the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), Info-Prim Neo reports.
The statement comes as a reaction to the accusations made by the head of the National Agency for Competition Protection Viorica Carare. In a news conference on February 22, Carare said that the company violates the law when it disconnects the consumers from the electric power supply without notice.
In its statement, RED Union Fenosa says that the consumers with outstanding debts are cut off in accordance with the law. The relations between the supplier and consumers are governed by the ANRE through regulations that are published in the Official Gazette.
“We consider that the given assertions seriously affected the company's image. Therefore, RED Union Fenosa reserves the right to use all the legal ways possible to defend its rights. As the company did not receive a relevant decision from the National Agency for Competition Protection, it cannot make other comments yet,” it is said in the statement.
