Union Fenosa gets ISO certificate
RED Union Fenosa received the certificate showing compliance with the integrated quality and environment management systems ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The project to implement the given systems was launched last May. On September 22, the company obtained the certificate from the Bureau Veritas Certification Ukraine, which carried out the audit.
“Any company with a functional ISO management system undoubtedly enjoys positive effects,” said Silvia Radu, executive president of Red Union Fenosa.
“The implementation of the power distribution and supply quality standards offer new possibilities and privileges such as transparency and efficiency in the internal processes, partners' confidence, avoidance of errors, continuous improvement of the own management system, depending on the needs of the organization, and improvement of the image.”
Serghei Riago, regional manager of Bureau Veritas Certification Ukraine, said Red Union Fenosa is the first energy company in Moldova that implemented the quality management system ISO and is one of the few public utilities that adjusted their practices to the international standards.
Once in 11 months, Red Union Fenosa carries out assessments and takes measures to improve and adjust its work. In July 2008, the National Standardization and Metrology Institute issued Union Fenosa with an ISO 9001:2002 certificate.
