UNICEF delivers four tons of basic hygiene products to refugees

The UNICEF Moldova team offered a first batch of humanitarian aid to refugees with children at the Temporary Refugee Center at the Palanca crossing point on the border of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. UNICEF delivered four tons of basic hygiene products, including diapers, disinfectants, wipes, totaling about 150,000 lei, IPN reports.

Also, over 500 toys to the value of 73,500 lei were taken to the Refugee Center at “Moldexpo” and to the Accommodation Center for Asylum Seekers and Refugees situated on Dacia Blvd.

UNICEF’s technical mission conducted a rapid needs assessment at the Palanca crossing point and at the Refugee Transit Center.

UNICEF will continue, together with other UN agencies, to support families and children affected by the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
