Underaged children will not be allowed in locales past 10 PM
Youth under 18 years of age will not be able to enter night clubs, internet cafes, restaurants and bars between 10 PM and 7AM any longer. Their access in this kind of premises will be allowed only when escorted by a parent, guardian or one of their representatives, Info-Prim Neo reports regarding an amendment bill to the Administrative Code, which was approved by the Government.
Minister of Interior Dorin Recean said that it was Iurie Bolboceanu’s legislative initiative that was supported by the Government. This amendment will allow the creation of a better environment, suitable for the moral and physical upgbringing of children and teenagers, and it will also promote moral norms amongst the youth.
According to the Minister, the legal entities and inviduals who will not comply, and will allow underaged children’s access to the premises, risk fines between 400 and 600 conventional units. The inderdiction will not apply to persons married before 18 years of age.
Prime Minister Vlad Filat has mentioned that these amendments also target the premises with slot machines, placed near bus and trolleybus stations.
