Ukrainian TV channel: Russia will attempt to annex territories of five countries in autumn

Z symbols periodically appear on the streets of the Armenian capital Yerevan and at mass events in support of Russia’s war in Ukraine and of the Kremlin’s occupation ambitions in Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Ukraine’s Kanal 5 reported.

In an article published on its website, Kanal 5 says colored posters with pro-Russian and pro-war symbols are being posted across Yerevan announcing the “annexation of territories of [five] sovereign [nations]”.

“In addition to the false claim that the annexed ‘Crimea is Russia!’, the same is written as a fait accompli about the following cities: Donetsk, Luhansk, Mariupol, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Tiraspol (Transnistria) and Tskhinval (South Ossetia). The posters also bear the inscriptions: ‘Northern Kazakhstan - this will be Russia!’, ‘Artsakh - let it be Russia!’”, the article says.

“In all these territories there are occupation troops of the Kremlin (Eastern and Southern Ukraine, Transnistria, South Ossetia) or military bases and army contingents of the Russian Federation (Karabakh, Northern Kazakhstan). They also share another thing: for each of them, the Kremlin is already preparing fake annexation referendums or in recent years has sounded out the public opinion regarding such a prospect”.

“Part of the territories of Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are either already occupied by the Russian Federation, or are under the threat of occupation and subsequent annexation under the pretext of protecting ethnic minorities allegedly oppressed there”, reads the piece.

“The special propaganda operation carried out in Yerevan by Kremlin servants clearly indicated which states, apart from Ukraine, should be most worried about the imminent annexation by military occupation and fake referendums”.

“Tiraspol is Russia!” read posters with imperial symbols posted in downtown Yerevan, Kanal 5 exemplifies, quoting several scandalous media materials that talk about the Kremlin’s intention to occupy at least the eastern regions of Moldova.

“Control over southern Ukraine is another way out to Transnistria, which also sees acts of oppression of the Russian-speaking population”, said on April 22 the deputy commander of the Central Military District of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnekaev. On May 1, the UK edition of The Times cited Ukrainian intel claiming Russia had already developed a plan to invade Moldova. On May 10, this was confirmed by the head of the United States National Intelligence, Avril Haines”, says Kanal 5.

The Ukrainian channel also quotes the former Russian senator Franz Klintsevich as saying “Only decisions of the parliament and the president of Russia are needed. Transnistria could become a part of our country this fall”. This appears to be “synchronized with the planned annexation of the Donbas, Kherson region and Zaporizhzhia following fake referendums”, according to Kanal 5.
