The secretary of the Supreme Council of National Security of Ukraine, Anatolii Kinah reconfirmed, during the telephone talk with the Moldovan prime minister, Vasile Tarlev, the firm decision of Ukraine to implement further the new regulations at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border only on the basis of Moldovan customs specimens, actions stipulated in the joint statement of prime ministers of Moldova and Ukraine on 30 December 2005. In the same time, the secretary of the Supreme Council of the Security of Ukraine mentioned that Transnistrian authorities continue the destructive actions of self-blocking. „Thus, many trucks of food goods, designed for the population of the region are stopped at the border”. In this context, Vasile Tarlev and Anatolii Kinah agreed on continuing the coordination of the actions of both countries in order to inform correctly of the public opinion in the Transnistrian region, as well of the international society about the essence of the undertaken steps and to support the efficient activity of the negotiation format 5+2. The new customs regime at Moldovan-Ukrainian border was implemented on 3 March 2006.
