The team of the Agrarian University UA-Basco has won Moldova’s Basketball Cup for men. The team from Balti beat Admirals-UTM in the final 59-53, IPN reports.

UA-Basco was 12 points ahead, but Admirals managed to tie during the last 15 minutes. The end of the match belonged yet to the Balti team that is trained by Alexandru Shestopal.

“I think we won because we were sure that we will win. The coach trained us for victory only,” said UA-Basco Eugen Nartov, who was the top scorer of the final with 20 points.

UA-Basco won Moldova’s Cup for the first time. The team from Balti also aims to win the title of champion, ranking first after five stages played.
