UA-Basco for the first time won the National Men’s Basketball Championship of Moldova. The team from Balti defeated Alfa-Basket Chisinau by the general score of 3-2, IPN reports.
The decisive match was played in Balti and ended with an 81-69 victory of the team trained by Alexandr Shestopal. Most of the points for the winning team were scored by Yevgheny Nartov – 22. In the other team, Kushmatsev scored 23 points.
“Two main players committed five fouls. In the end, the youth team had to show that they can also play basketball. I’m very satisfied with their performance,” UA-Basco coach Alexandru Shestopal told a news conference.
In the small final, Floare Bender beat Admirals-UTM 2-1.
