The German victory looked certain after 15 minutes of the game, when Cenk Tosun provided a double. Felix Kroos, Marco Terrazzino and Christian also found the target. In the other fixture of the group, Turkey tied with Luxembourg, 1-1. Germany are now in the lead with 6 points, followed by Turkey, with 4 points, and Luxembourg. Moldova are at the bottom with not a single point earned. The next encounters are scheduled for Monday, October 12. Moldova will meet Luxembourg, while Germany will encounter Turkey. The first two teams in each qualifying group, plus the best two teams placed third, will qualify for the next round, to take place the next spring.
